more about the soulful home

(this is where i live!)

A soulful home to me is the deepest place of love, comfort, self-care and connection.

I have had a small handful of homes - growing up in central Connecticut in a family of 6, we moved quite a few times. The suburban home my family lives in now, and the one that I moved away from to live in beautiful upstate New York with my boyfriend Jacob and his family, was a place where my family and I vastly grew and learned together.

The homegrown yoga studio a couple blocks from my family's house is where I trained to be a yoga teacher - many times expressing how the studio was another home of mine, based in community, strength, vulnerability and growth.

When Jacob and I reconnected in 2012 after encountering each other on Facebook a few years prior via mutual friends, we instantly fell into heartfelt messages and texts of the people we both were becoming and wanted to be more of - painting pictures with our words (or in Jake's case, watercolors too!) of the authenticity and deep connection we wished for in our home-based lives.

Finally a year later we were able to meet in person, already knowing the great amount of love we had for each other and mere months later I moved to be near him and closer to the home I with all my heart am so excited to create with him.

January 1, 2014 I moved off the mountain with Jake and his family after a handful of months searching with them for what was next and right, and there I found my abundant little apartment - and what feels like so much more.
